Bio: Cooking and food has always been one of my life's greatest pleasures and is deeply rooted in memories of family and friends. I remember baking with my grandmother from an early age and the love she put into her food. My mother always made sure that we had healthy and balanced meals even when she was working full time. My Great Aunt Marion hosted a bountiful Thanksgiving every year and I loved to be back in the kitchen to watch the creation and then sit with my family to devour the results. My paternal grandmother taught me the simple joys of making a pudding from scratch. I can still smell the tomato vines from my grandfather's garden, and taste the sweet ripe fruit of that vine. Food is love - when you cook food that nourishes the body and soul of your loved ones it lives on forever. I love to create recipes that are healthy but full of flavor and free of deprivation. When I see my family enjoying my food I feel a deep happiness that I'm not just feeding their body but filling them with my love. I hope you enjoy my recipes and writings and remember to nourish yourself each day with healthy food - and love.
